Rangers have confirmed a deal to sign Swiss defender Philippe Senderos, a switch which had been anticipated through most of last month.
Senderos began training with Rangers in early August, but there was some indecision from both parties over a move.
The free agent signed a one year deal, The BBC reported, becoming a late addition to Rangers’ squad for the 2015/16 season.

Former Rangers boss Alex McLeish was asked for his opinion on the move by SkySports shortly before a move was confirmed on transfer deadline day.
Speaking to SkySports via Periscope, McLeish said he felt Senderos was not ideal, but not a bad compromise given an evident paucity of funds.
He said: “Well Mark Warburton is working with the budget he has been given.
“My criticism would be a lack of pace but may be Mark doesn’t have the player in mind for money he can spend to bring in that pace, so we have to factor that in.
“Where is that player that’s going to improve Rangers? Senderos has marvellous experience. Where do you get these players and for how much for?”

Rangers have been busy in the transfer market throughout the window, but adding quality in defence has been a struggle.
Senderos has been training with the team over the past month and could be a candidate to face Celtic in 10 days time.
