Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers look set to offload Barrie McKay this summer.
However, McLeish insists that if he was in charge of Rangers, then he would be doing everything in his power to try and get McKay into the Ibrox side’s first-team.

“If it was me I wouldn’t cut my nose off. You have to be careful with that one,” McLeish said.
“But you just don’t know, maybe he’s asked away and there’s a little catch in there.
“But I certainly would keep Barrie McKay in and around the first-team.”
Caixinha has seemingly judged McKay to have no future at Rangers, as his contract is running out.
McKay has just a year left on his current deal at Ibrox, and there is no sign of him penning a new contract.
McKay is considered one of the brightest talents in Rangers’ team, but he seems likely to move on this summer.
McKay will not play for Rangers in their first competitive match of the season tonight, which comes against Progres in the Europa League.
