John McGinn has joined Aston Villa from Hibernian in the summer transfer window.

Villa have signed Scotland international midfielder McGinn from Hibernian in the summer transfer window.
According to The Times, the Villans had to pay the Scottish Premiership side a transfer fee of £2.75 million plus add-ons in order to secure the services of the 23-year-old.
Former Villa manager McLeish has backed McGinn to be a success for Steve Bruce’s side in the Championship, comments which will surely delight the Villa Park faithful.
McLeish told The Scottish Sun: “John’s style of play is suited to the Championship. His swashbuckling approach can flourish. Maybe he thought there would be too much competition for places at Celtic, you’d need to ask him.
“But Villa is a big club. Going there will empower him and increase his confidence. That would also have happened if he had signed for Celtic because he’s a boy who believes in himself.
“But with the start he’s made at Villa, the likelihood is he will be playing for them most weeks and that’s important.”

Good singing for Aston Villa
McGinn proved himself in the Scottish Premiership and is a hugely talented midfielder, and Villa have made a great signing in the 23-year-old midfielder.
The Scotland international has made a strong start to life at Villa, playing a key role in the team’s win against Wigan Athletic in the Championship this past weekend, and Villa Park faithful can expect more from the Scotsman in the coming weeks and months.
Villa reached the Championship playoff final last season and are aiming to finish in the top six of league table yet again this campaign.
