Arsenal ace wanted a win.
Arsenal’s Alex Iwobi
Arsenal attacker Alex Iwobi has admitted he is disappointed not to have scored a late winner in their Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain.
The Gunners fought back to claim a draw after conceding a first minute goal to Edinson Cavani, who will be regretting spurning chances to add to his tally.
Iwobi had a late opportunity to put Arsenal 2-1 up, and expressed his feelings after the game via Twitter.
Iwobi started the fixture and continues to show he is not intimidated by playing on the big stage, having also featured away to Barcelona at the Nou Camp last season.
This time last season he was in Arsenal’s under-21 side, but has seized his chance to breakthrough, although is still looking for his first goal of the season.
A winner against PSG really would have been confirmation of his rise to prominence, and his determination, shown by how he is left still wanting more after the draw, bodes well for the future.
