Hull City defender Alex Bruce played for Leeds United between 2010 and 2012.

Alex Bruce has told Sky Sports News, which was broadcast on 15th September, that the weight of expectation at Leeds United can be hard to deal with.
Bruce, who played for Leeds between 2010 and 2012, knows the pressure that comes with playing at Elland Road.
And although Bruce says that Leeds supporters are amazing, he admits that the level of expectation that comes with playing for such a big club can be a challenge to deal with.

“It’s [the expectation is] huge. When you play for a big club like Leeds, and it is undoubtedly a massive club, you have to be able to handle the pressure of the supporters and what they bring,” Bruce said.
“The away support drags you through at times and I hope the good times come back. It is a great club, but it’s ultimately what you do on the pitch that counts. History counts for nothing.”
Leeds supporters have had little to cheer in recent times, and the start of this season has not been particularly encouraging.
The Whites have begun the new campaign slowly, but they did win their last match against Blackburn Rovers.
That victory has pushed Leeds up into 18th place in the Championship table, and Garry Monk’s side will now be aiming to continue to climb the table.
Leeds are next in action against a struggling Cardiff City side, and a victory could take them up as high as 13th position.
