Aston Villa lost in the Championship playoff final.

Villa manager Steve Bruce reacts after a near miss during the Sky Bet Championship match between Aston Villa and Middlesbrough at Villa Park on September 12, 2017 in Birmingham, England.

Steve Bruce has been linked with Leeds United, and one Aston Villa fan would probably be happy to see the back of the former Hull City manager.

Bruce, who is wanted by Leeds according to The Daily Star, guided Villa to the final of the Championship playoffs this past season.

The Villans narrowly lost to Fulham at the Wembley Stadium in London last month, and they are now set to spend at least another season in the Championship.

One Villa fan is not happy with Bruce, and want the former Sunderland boss to leave and a new manager appointed in his place.

Bruce’s son, Alex Bruce – who is on the books of Wigan Athletic at the moment – has defended the former Birmingham City manager’s record at Villa and has responded strongly on social networking site Twitter to the criticism.

Villa did well to reach the Championship playoff final this season, and for the Villans to launch another challenge during the 2018-19 campaign, it is important that they keep hold of him and give him the support he needs in the summer transfer window.
