Former Newcastle United striker Aleksandar Mitrovic has been reportedly attracting the interest of West Ham United following Fulham’s relegation.

For the second time in Aleksandar Mitrovic’s career, he has suffered relegation to the Championship. At first with Newcastle United and most recently with Fulham.
On the previous occasion, there weren’t too many teams waiting to knock on Mitrovic’s door, including his parent club. But since Fulham’s drop, there are now potential suitors waiting outside.
The Mirror claim that West Ham United are one of those teams that could be interested in the 24-year-old’s services, with a potential move to East London awaiting him in the summer.

He brought his Championship form into England’s top-flight, but Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez was insistent that he did not ‘regret’ letting the player go [Telegraph].
Despite the Cottagers relegation, Mitro has not let himself down from an individual perspective, scoring 10 Premier League goals this season [transfermarkt]. But the platform hasn’t been big enough for him to prove his previous doubters wrong.

If the Serbian international does make the switch to the London Stadium then he will have a big enough stage to prove to those doubters that he is good enough at this level. Perhaps Benitez will start regretting letting him go!
The Hammers are aiming for a top 10 finish this season and someone like Mitrovic could lead their line and produce the goods on a consistent basis.
From his St James’ Park days, he has matured from a personal perspective and a playing perspective, all of which has boded well for what he does on the pitch.
Added with that, the Premier League hitman still has time in his career to showcase his real talent and potentially score the volume of goals no-one first expected he could get to when he first walked into English football.
