Newcastle United have loaned out Aleksandar Mitrovic to Fulham.

Aleksandar Mitrovic has admitted to Sky Sports that he regrets not playing more at Newcastle United.
Mitrovic fell out of favour at Newcastle after Rafael Benitez took charge, with the Spanish boss clearly having reservations over using the striker.
Mitrovic was loaned out to Fulham in the January transfer window, and since arriving at Craven Cottage he has proven his worth.

The Serbian international has hit the back of the net nine times for the Cottagers already.
Mitrovic looks likely to leave Newcastle in the summer transfer window, and when asked if he looks back on his time at St. James’ Park with any regret he said.
“I would never say I regret that I was there, but I have regret because I didn’t play as much as I could and maybe I should have scored more goals,” Mitrovic said.
“There are a lot of things I wanted to do there that I didn’t do, so of course I have regret, but I still enjoyed my time there and I’m still a Newcastle player so we will see what happens.”

Mitrovic impressed the fans with his passion and desire, but Benitez generally picked others ahead of him.
It seems that Mitrovic will be put up for sale in the summer, with Newcastle likely to buy a new forward in the transfer window.
