Simone Zaza has been linked with a move away from West Ham United.
Alejandro Moreno has told ESPN that although he believes Simone Zaza could leave West Ham United, he says it will not be to AC Milan.
The Italian striker has struggled for the most part of his season-long loan from Juventus so far.
The 25-year-old is yet to score from any of his nine appearances in all competitions, despite some much-improved performances in recent weeks.
The Sun reported last week that West Ham would sign him permanently when he plays 10 games for the club, but then offer him to Napoli in a player-plus-cash deal for Manolo Gabbiadini in January.
But The Express claimed on Monday that AC Milan were in the mix for him in a move which could hinge on whether striker Carlos Bacca stays at San Siro beyond the winter.
However, Moreno does not believe he will join the Rossoneri, but did not rule out a premature departure from the East London club.
He told ESPN: “Simone Zaza has just got to West Ham [and] he hasn’t even taken a penalty yet. You know what, I think this is a miss because I don’t think Bacca’s going anywhere. Zaza might just go elsewhere, but not to AC Milan.”
It would appear as if the jury is already out on Zaza but it is still very early to judge him. Cast judgements on a foreign import in five Premier League starts is bizarre but perhaps indicative of the knee-jerk of football these days. Slaven Bilic is a fine man-manager, and the Croat may just have the skills to get the best out of him yet.
