Jackson Smith has signed his first professional contract with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Wolverhampton Wanderers Under-23 goalkeeper coach Aled Williams has praised Jackson Smith on Twitter.
As announced on Wolves’ official website, Smith has signed his first professional contract with the Premier League club.
The 17-year-old has been on the books of Wolves since he was eight years of age and has been playing for the club’s Under-18 side so far this season.
Wolves Under-23 goalkeeper coach Williams has spoken highly of Smith on Twitter, and his comments suggest that the Wanderers have a gem on their hands.
Wolves are doing well in the Premier League at the moment after winning automatic promotion from the Championship at the end of last season.
Nuno’s side are 10th in the league table at the moment with 22 points from 16 matches.
The Wanderers will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Bournemouth at the Molineux Stadium in the Premier League.
Wolves are unlikely to be dragged into a relegation fight, and they should be able to break into the top 10.
