Tottenham Hotspur have brought in the midfielder from Southampton.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld has been speaking to the club’s official Twitter account about his new teammate Victor Wanyama.
The two men know each other well from their time at Southampton and now the Kenyan international will reunite with Alderweireld – and manager Mauricio Pochettino – at White Hart Lane.

Wanyama’s addition for a cut-price fee is already being hailed as one of the signings of the summer and if he can play to his best at Tottenham he will soon become a fan favourite.
Speaking after the move, Alderweireld summed up Wanyama in just 13 words, saying, “He’s a beast on the pitch but a very nice person off it.”
That is exactly what Tottenham need as they bid to push on again next season following an exciting but ultimately disappointing campaign in North London.

Tottenham’s third-place finish should still be heralded despite their late dip in form, but players like Wanyama should ensure they can maintain the pace until the very end in the years ahead.
The midfielder will surely not be the last player to arrive at Tottenham this summer, but whatever happens his signing is a great start for Pochettino and for chairman Daniel Levy.
