Reading, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Brighton & Hove Albion were linked with moves for the former West Ham United youngster ahead of the January transfer window.

Aldershot say they have rejected two offers, one from an unnamed Championship club, for former West Ham United youngster Idris Kanu.
The National League side posted on their official website: “The offers were received by both Gary Waddock and Chairman Shahid Azeem and, after consultation with Idris, all agreed that the offer was not right for the player or Aldershot Town at this time.”
Kanu signed for Aldershot shortly after leaving West Ham last summer, despite impressing on trial at Manchester United in between.
The 17-year-old has since played 22 times for the Shots, scoring on three occasions, and was the subject of interest from a trio of Championship sides in December.
The Argus reported that Reading, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Brighton & Hove Albion were all keen on Kanu, although it remains to be seen if either of those clubs were responsible for this week’s approach.
All three clubs have a history of snapping up non-league talent, with Reading launching the professional career of West Ham and England winger Michail Antonio.

Wolves gave Michael Kightly his big break, while Brighton’s England Under-21 international Solly March was picked up from Lewes in 2011.
Would Kanu be a good signing for Reading/Wolves/Brighton?
