Celtic striker Albian Ajeti looks set to win his battle to face Rangers having started running again on Tuesday morning.
The Bhoys are already facing blows ahead of the Old Firm game on October 17th, having lost winger James Forrest to injury for six weeks.
The ongoing global pandemic is now affecting Celtic, with Ryan Christie out and Odsonne Edouard a doubt to face Rangers having both tested positive.
Celtic don’t need any more bad news, and it seems that striker Ajeti will be giving fans a welcome boost ahead of his return from injury.
The 23-year-old suffered a muscle injury against Hibernian last weekend, meaning he missed games against Sarajevo and St Johnstone.
Ajeti has been left out of the Switzerland squad due to his injury, and it had been feared that he would miss the game against Rangers.

However, boss Neil Lennon has now told the Daily Record that Ajeti is ‘feeling good’, and came in to training to do some running.
Lennon added that Ajeti should be in full training later this week, meaning he should now be in contention to play against Rangers and give Celtic a goal threat in attack – which could be vital if Edouard is out.
“Albian is feeling good,” said Lennon. “I spoke to him Tuesday morning when he came in to do some running and I hope he’ll join us again for training at the end of this week or the start of next week,” he added.
