Fabrizio Romano has said on The Arsenal Lounge that Arsenal are convinced that Albert Sambi Lokonga’s value will increase in the coming years.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has said that Arsenal believe that Lokonga will be worth €50 or €60 million (£42.76-£51.32m) in two to three years’ time.
The Gunners signed the 21-year-old midfielder from Anderlecht this month.
The London Evening Standard have reported that Arsenal have had to pay an initial transfer fee of £15 million for the 21-year-old Belgian midfielder.
Romano said on The Arsenal Lounge: “What I heard is that Arsenal are convinced he could be in two or three years €50 or €60 million. This is the feeling around the club.”

Long-term investment
Lokonga is only 21, but the midfielder had been a regular for Anderlecht in the first-team squad for a while.
The youngster scored three goals and gave two assists in 33 league games for the Belgian club last season.
Lokonga also played 22 minutes in the Europa League last season.

The youngster is a defensive midfielder, but he can also play in a box-to-box role.
Lokonga is a ‘potential’ now, but in two or three years, he could become the finished article if he gets regular playing time and continues to progress.
It will be interesting to see what Arsenal’s long-term plans are for Lokonga.
Would Arsenal cash in on the Belgian youngster if he becomes a €60 million (£51.32m) player in three years’ time?
