Adomah has played in derbies for Bristol City and Middlesbrough but says none will compare to the second city rivalry.

Aston Villa winger Albert Adomah has told the club’s official website that he cannot wait to be part of “one of the biggest derbies in the country” when his side travel to St. Andrew’s to face arch-rivals Birmingham City on Sunday.
Villa will go head-to-head with the Blues in the league for the first time in nearly six years in the most eagerly-awaited fixture of either club’s season.
Villa head into the game some six points and seven places behind their rivals in the Championship table, but they have seen a marked improvement since the appointment of former Blues boss Bruce, going unbeaten in three and winning back-to-back games.

Adomah has played for Middlesbrough against the likes of North East rivals Sunderland and has also turned out for Bristol City against Severnside derby opponents Cardiff City.
However, he is expecting this weekend’s second city clash to be more intense and passionate than any derby game he has played in before.
The Ghanaian told avfc.co.uk: “I have not played in this derby before. It is my first big massive derby. People say it is one of the biggest in the country. I look forward to it. If I am selected, I will try my best to help the team out. I am looking forward to the sound of it, everyone says it is out of the league.

“The main priority is three points and trying to win. If you win the game you have the bragging rights to say we are the biggest team, the best team, in the city. I have seen a few fans and I think they are really passionate. All supporters. I am sure they are looking forward to this massive game. If we win, they can brag more about our team.
“I played in Bristol City v Cardiff, Middlesbrough v Sunderland, Middlesbrough v Leeds. They are not the best derbies. Even though the atmosphere was immense, I am sure this one will be great as well. I look forward to it.”
Both sides will be desperate to secure victory ans the bragging rights after six games without a league meeting.
Villa won the last clash between the two clubs, a 1-0 EFL Cup win at Villa Park in September, whilst the last league game finished 1-1 at St. Andrew’s in January 2011.
