Lansbury played his first game after joining Villa in Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Preston North End.
Aston Villa star Albert Adomah has told the club’s official website that he was impressed with new teammate Henri Lansbury’s “wonderful” debut on Saturday.
Lansbury joined Villa in a deal worth nearly £3 million last week, and immediately went into Steve Bruce’s starting XI for the 2-2 draw with Preston North End at Villa Park.
The 26-year-old former Nottingham Forest captain played 77 minutes before being replaced by Leandro Bacuna.

Lansbury had not actually played since the first half of December due to an injury, but he adapted well to his new side despite surely not being fully match fit.
Adomah, who scored both of Villa’s goals in the draw, admitted he was impressed with the way his new teammate slotted into the team, and believes Lansbury has already shown his quality.
The winger told avfc.co.uk: “I thought it was a wonderful debut from Henri – he played very well indeed. It was great to play alongside him. You can just see his quality. He is very good on the ball and was playing the ball forward, something we have been missing.

“I thought he did very, very well but obviously he wasn’t 100% because he hasn’t played for several weeks – that’s why he had to come off before the end. I am sure there’s more to come from him. As he gets to know his team-mates more and his surroundings more, he will show more of his quality.
“We have a bit of time now before our next game. As a professional footballer, you want the next game as soon as possible. But, from the perspective of people like Henri, it’s a good thing because he can integrate himself into Aston Villa more.”
Lansbury will be keen to keep hold of his place in the side on a game-by-game basis, and will be expected to start when Villa travel to Brentford in their next game on January 31.
