Leeds United’s Egzjan Alioski has come in for criticism from an Albania star this week.

Mergim Mavraj has told Sportal that he does not know who Leeds United winger Egzjan Alioski is, after the Macedonia ace made a suggestion about Albania’s national side.
The Leeds man played 90 minutes as Macedonia drew 1-1 at home to Albania on Tuesday in World Cup qualifying.
The former Lugano man is reported by Sportal to have claimed that Mavraj and his team-mates were not as formidable as they had been in the recent past, with the 31-year-old helping his country to Euro 2016.

However, the Hamburg man, whose nation are third in Group G, six points behind second-placed Italy and six ahead of Alioski’s Macedonia, has suggested that the new Leeds signing does not have the clout to offer such criticisms.
“Alioski did not like Albania? I do not know who that man is. Normally, we always compare ourselves with the past, with the great thing we have done, going to the European Championships.
“Whoever has seen the game here has seen that we have many qualities, just as we have seen that Macedonia only defended in Albania.
“People do well to see their teams, not foreign teams.”

The Championship side host Burton Albion on Saturday but it remains to be seen whether Alioski, who has played 270 minutes of football in 12 days, will be included.
The 25-year-old, a £3.2 million signing from Lugano, has looked an excellent addition for United so far and opened his account in the league with a goal at Nottingham Forest, having also scored twice in the League Cup.
