Tottenham Hotspur want to sign both Alassane Plea and Marcus Thuram from Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer transfer window if Harry Kane leaves, according to Le10Sport.
What’s the story?
Le10Sport are reporting today that Tottenham are looking at signing both Plea and Thuram from German club Monchengladbach.
The 28-year-old and the 23-year-old have done well together at the Bundesliga outfit.
Both are France internationals as well.
Tottenham want to keep Kane, but in the event they lose him to Manchester City, the North London club are looking at the two forwards to replace the England international striker.
Sensible plan?
Kane could end up as the top scorer in the history of the Premier League if he stays in England for the rest of his career.
He is that good.
Not many strikers can replace the 27-year-old.

So, Tottenham’s plan to bring in two forwards instead of one if Kane leaves is sensible.
Thuram, 23, is a versatile attacker who generally plays out wide, but he has been deployed upfront as well.
The France international scored eight goals and gave two assists in the Bundesliga last season.

Plea is a more of a centre-forward, but the 28-year-old can also play out on the wing.
The Monchengladbach no.14 scored six goals and gave one assist in the Bundesliga, and scored five goals and gave three assists in the Champions League last season.
In 2019-20, the Frenchman scored 10 goals and gave 10 assists in the league, while in 2018-19, he scored 12 goals and provided four assists in the Bundesliga.
