There hasn’t been much in the way of good news at Tottenham Hotspur lately.

Spurs are out of every cup competition, are only just hanging on to fourth place, and don’t have a manager.

In addition, Sky Sports have reported that FIFA have extended Fabio Paratici’s ban to worldwide activities.

So there’s a lot up in the air at present, but there is also one bit of good news on the injury front.

According to the Evening Standard, Richarlison is closing in on a return from injury.

The Brazil international injured his calf in the opening minutes of the 3-3 draw with Southampton.

This prompted fears over a long injury layoff.

However, Richarlison reportedly hopes he’ll be back from injury after Monday’s trip to Everton.

Alasdair Gold, speaking on his YouTube channel, corroborated the report based on what sources told him.

“Richarlison should be back, I’d say, what I’m told is, sooner rather than later,” he said.

“I can’t imagine it’ll be for the Everton match, but there’s some suggestions It should be not too long after that.”

Meanwhile, Emerson Royal will reportedly be out for six weeks after undergoing surgery on a meniscus injury.

Left-backs Ben Davies and Ryan Sessegnon are also sidelined with hamstring injuries.

And midfielders Rodrigo Bentancur and Yves Bissouma will sadly not play again this season due to injury.

Tough season

Good news for Richarlison as he looks to return to action and finish a difficult maiden season on a high note.

The 25-year-old has experienced a lot of bad luck this season, both in front of goal and in terms of injuries.

In addition, Antonio Conte often played him out of position on the wings, so he had to adapt to that too.

Richarlison has, however, had plenty of promising moments that suggest he can be a great player for Spurs.

Hopefully he can do just that, break his Premier League scoring duck and finally kick on.
