Speaking on his YouTube channel, Alasdair Gold has given his verdict on recent reports linking Tottenham striker Harry Kane with a summer move to Real Madrid.
The striker’s future has been a hot-topic as of late, and while reports have claimed that Real Madrid are making the striker their top priority this summer, Gold thinks that even Los Blancos would struggle to afford him.
The journalist is very well-connected at Spurs, and it seems as though the word he’s been getting is that Kane won’t leave unless it’s for an astronomical amount.

“Kane, it sounds awful to say, but I kind of do hope he’s stuck at Spurs, and he has to. Of course, you only want the best for players, and yes I do think he could go anywhere and score goals anywhere,” Gold said.
“I saw a link with Real Madrid. I don’t think even Real Madrid could afford him. People say Spurs have got a great relationship with Madrid, just look at the Reguilon, Bale deals and stuff like that. The money it would cost to sign Kane, even Real Madrid would struggle with.”
It seems as though Kane may be staying at Spurs this summer.
We know that there aren’t many clubs who are able to spend big at this time, with the pandemic seemingly hitting every single club’s finances, especially in La Liga.
Madrid are undergoing stadium redevelopments and have big contract issues to fix. Nevermind the fact that it’s been suggested that they may re-sign Cristiano Ronaldo this summer.
It seems as though Kane won’t be heading to the Spanish capital anytime soon.
