Graeme Murty’s Glasgow Rangers brought former Hibernian star Jason Cummings on loan from Nottingham Forest in the January transfer window.

Cummings joined Graeme Murty’s Rangers on loan from Forest in the Championship in England in the January transfer window.
The 22-year-old Scotland international failed to make an impact at the City Ground in the first half of the season, having joined the Reds from Hibernian in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee reported by The Nottingham Post to be worth £1 million.
Stubbs managed Cummings at Hibernian, and the former Rotherham United boss believes that the the youngest still has a future in England.

“I felt it was a matter of time before he went on from Hibs and that proved to be the case,” Stubbs told The Scottish Sun about Cummings. “I still believe that he can play in the Championship down in England and I won’t change my mind on that.”
“I just think Jason has a very prosperous career ahead of him,” added Stubbs. “If he signs for Rangers in the summer, or goes back down to Nottingham Forest, I fully expect him to do well. For me, he’s got a future in England if that’s what he wants to do.”

Back in form
Cummings is playing well for Rangers at the moment and scored a stunning hat-trick for the Gers in the Scottish Cup at the weekend.
The young Scotsman has scored one goal in 185 minutes of Scottish Premiership football for the Gers so far his loan switch in January, according to Transfermarkt.com.
The striker may have failed to do much of note at Forest, but Cummings is gradually establishing himself as an important place for Rangers.
