Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers reportedly want Dylan McGeouch at Ibrox, with Sunderland also claimed to be interested.

Dylan McGeouch may be a former Celtic player, but that has not stopped Rangers manager Steven Gerrard from taking an interest in signing the midfielder for the Ibrox club.
According to The Scottish Sun, Rangers are interested in securing the services of McGeouch on a free transfer, with the midfielder leaving Scottish Premiership rivals Hibernian this summer.
Sunderland, who got relegated to League One from the Championship in England this past season, are also reported to be interested in the 25-year-old midfielder, and so are Aberdeen and Blackburn Rovers.
Newly-appointed St. Mirren manager Alan Stubbs signed McGeouch for Hibernian in 2015, and the former Celtic centre-back believes that the reported Rangers and Sunderland target will have to make a decision on his future soon.

Stubbs told The Scottish Sun: “I think the options are a nice dilemma for Dylan to have. He obviously has a contract on the table from Hibs which I’m sure is attractive, he has been linked with Rangers and Sunderland and a few others.
“It’s a nice position for him to be in, but these clubs will want an answer sooner or later. They won’t want it dragging on all summer, they need to make plans moving forward.”

Quality midfielder
McGeouch was one of the best midfielders in the Scottish Premiership this past season, and the former Celtic man would be a good signing for any club.
Given that the departing Hibernian star would be a free signing, it would make him a very shrewd signing for Rangers or Sunderland.
