Glasgow Rangers brought Jason Cummings to Ibrox on loan for the rest of the season.

Cummings is one of four players that Graeme Murty has brought to Ibrox during the month, with Sean Goss, Jamie Murphy and Russell Martin also all arriving until the end of the season.

It comes after a brief spell in the Championship for the 22-year-old, where he struggled for game-time. And Stubbs – who managed Cummings during his time at Hibernian – conceded that the striker not staying and trying to prove himself to new Forest boss Aitor Karanka surprised him, while he also went on to briefly assess the business that Cummings’ new side have done this month.
“I know he needs to play games, but especially with the new manager coming in at Forest, to not stay and try to impress him — I’m surprised,” he said, as reported by The Scottish Sun. “I don’t know about showing a lack of ambition. Jason is an ambitious guy, and you have to admit Rangers are a huge club.

“He’s not left the Championship to go to any club. Rangers are still massive. People look at Cummings in different ways, and he’s a colourful personality. When I was there, did he need managing Yes, but not as badly as people make out.”
“I have been impressed with Rangers’ signings and I hope Jason does well,” he went on to add.
It certainly appears that Rangers have enjoyed a very good month with a number of positions strengthened ahead of the second-half of the campaign.
And with the quartet all arriving on temporary deals, they could potentially be more determined to make the most of their time at Ibrox as they may perhaps be heading for an uncertain summer depending on what was agreed as part of their moves to Rangers.
