Stars from Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham all make the cut.

Writing in the Telegraph, former Arsenal striker Alan Smith has shared his Premier League Team of the Week.

The weekend’s games proved to be another fascinating watch, especially in terms of the title race.

All eyes were on White Hart Lane where Tottenham Hotspur inflicted Pep Guardiola’s first defeat as Manchester City manager in a comprehensive 2-0 win.

Liverpool continued their push as they came back from a goal down to beat Swansea City while Arsenal needed a controversial late goal to beat Burnley.

Elsewhere, Chelsea beat Hull City to end their losing streak and the other four games all ended in draws.

That Spurs performance was arguably the best of the lot, though, and it is reflected in Smith’s team as three of their stars get into his team for the Telegraph.

In goal, he elects to go with Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, with the Belgian only one of four goalkeepers to keep a clean sheet this weekend.

The Belgian sits in front of a defence that comprises Southampton’s Cedric Soares at right-back, Burnley’s Steven Ward and Spurs central defensive partnership of Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen.

In midfield, N’Golo Kante partners Victor Wanyama, while Stoke City’s Joe Allen rounds off the midfield three.

Unsurprisingly West Ham star Dimitri Payet makes it in on the left wing after his superb solo goal, while Everton’s Yannick Bolasie is also in.

Up front, Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke is the lone striker after his dominant performance in the draw with Everton.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is the elected manager of the week after he masterminded another victory over old rival Pep Guardiola.

Three players unlucky to miss out:

Lee Grant – The Stoke City goalkeeper was superb against Manchester United, keeping them at bay on several occasions and earning his side a point at Old Trafford.

Pedro Obiang – Starting his first game since April, Obiang put in a dominant display in West Ham’s midfield as they earned a draw with Middlesbrough that ended their losing streak.

Son Heung-min – The Spurs striker was superb in the win over Manchester City, with his pressing setting the tempo for his team. The only blemish was the unsightly argument over the penalty with Erik Lamela.
