West Ham United defender Ryan Fredericks forced his way into Manuel Pellegrini’s side’s starting line-up towards the end of the campaign.

Fredericks moved to West Ham from Fulham last summer and endured a difficult start at the London Stadium.
However, the rapid defender started to come into his own towards the back end of the campaign.
And Smith has suggested that he is expecting big things from Fredericks at West Ham next term.
“They have a decent defence and I think Ryan Fredericks will do better in his second season,” he said.
Fredericks does look set to be West Ham’s first choice right-back next season, even though Pablo Zabaleta has signed a new contract.

The attack-minded full-back, who is on a £40,000-a-week contract at West Ham (Sportac), has forced his way into Manuel Pellegrini’s starting line-up over recent weeks.
West Ham ended up finishing this season in 10th place, but there is a desire around the club to see them compete for the European spots next term.
