Alan Shearer posted on Twitter ‘Are you ok?’ to Ian Wright after Arsenal were knocked out of the FA Cup on Sunday.

The Premier League legend added his Twitter message with a bunch of laughing emojis, but it also included an image of the duo hugging one another with the words ‘I love you’.

In truth, Shearer was just glad that his fellow pundit could join him in his side getting knocked out of the FA Cup over the weekend.

Whilst those in Arsenal colours were beaten by 1-0 to a Championship team, it was even worse for Newcastle.

In one of the stories of the third round, Eddie Howe’s side were beaten by a single goal against League One Cambridge United at St James’ Park.

For Arsenal, at least they can look towards the Premier League and how well they are performing – they are sitting in fourth spot.

Whereas for the Magpies, they only have one Premier League win all season, they are sitting in the relegation zone and things became even worse on Saturday.

Mikel Arteta’s side might just have a big say on who goes down because both Newcastle and Arsenal lock horns on the penultimate day of the campaign.

If the Magpies aren’t relegated by then, and the road they are going down it might just happen, then it would be a serious pressure cooker of a match.

Not forgetting that Arsenal themselves might just be fighting for those Champions League spots also, so that’s one that both Wright and Shearer aren’t probably looking forward to.
