Newcastle United have been linked with Liverpool striker Danny Ings recently.

Alan Shearer’s past praise of Danny Ings in The Sun, suggests that the Newcastle United legend will be enthused by the latest transfer rumours at St. James’ Park.
Newcastle have been linked with a move for Liverpool forward Ings in recent times (Daily Express).
The Magpies are said to be keen to sign the England under-21 international, who could be made available by Jurgen Klopp.

And Ings is a player who has been on Shearer’s radar for some time now.
The Newcastle great praised Ings back in 2015, when the striker was still at Burnley.
He said: “I watched him on New Year’s Day in Burnley’s 3-3 draw at Newcastle and I was very impressed. He is pacey, his movement is excellent and, most importantly, he knows where the goal is.”

Shearer’s past description of Ings sounds exactly like what Newcastle need this summer.
The Magpies are keen to improve their attacking threat, as Rafael Benitez looks to ensure his side have the quality required to survive in the Premier League.
Ings would be in competition for a first-team place with Dwight Gayle, if he was to move to Newcastle.
