The Senegal midfielder has been brilliant this season.
Everton’s Idrissa Gueye in action
Everton continued their unbeaten start to the Premier League season yesterday with an impressive result against Middlesbrough at Goodison Park.
Goals from Gareth Barry on his 600th Premier League appearance, Seamus Coleman and either Romelu Lukaku or Yannick Bolasie, depending on who you ask, proved enough for victory after Alvaro Negredo had given Middlesbrough the lead earlier in the fixture.
But once again one man who stood out was Idrissa Gana Gueye.
The Senegal midfielder was brilliant yet again in victory and it was a performance not missed by the Match of the Day panel.

Speaking on the BBC show yesterday (17/09/2016) Alan Shearer had his say on the player:
“He’s been outstanding all season.
“When you consider some of the money that has been spent in the summer, £7 million this guy was from Aston Villa, and he looks at the minute a bargain.
“I think he ran the game.
“It was an all-round very good display from him. I thought he was excellent.”
It is the second time in a week that Gueye has found himself the subject of heavy praise. He was also in stunning form against Sunderland on Monday night and Everton look to have got themselves an absolute bargain.
His stats in a very poor Aston Villa team last season rivalled those of the impeccable N’Golo Kante at champions Leicester City.
It seems that in the right team those stats certainly pay off.
