Tottenham Hotspur have managed to compete this season, despite not spending a penny.

Alan Shearer suggested that the job being done by Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham is ‘phenomenal’ considering the wealth that hand his team are competing against, when speaking to Football.London.
Spurs ended the Premier League season in fourth place in the table, and they have a Champions League final against Liverpool to look forward to on June 1st.
Tottenham’s achievements have been made all the more impressive by the fact that they have not signed a single player since they brought Lucas Moura to north London in January 2018.
That will surely have to change this summer, however, if Pochettino is to guide his side to their first top flight crown since 1961.
The Argentine has undoubtedly worked wonders in north London, and Shearer raved about the job being done by the 47-year-old, when speaking to Football.London:

“What a job Pochettino is doing at Tottenham. Phenomenal. When you consider they haven’t signed a player in 18 months. Lucas was their last player they signed. Top four finish again. Champions League final. Whatever happens in that Champions League final it’s still been a phenomenal season to get them where they are.”
Tottenham could, of course, make history next month, should they beat Liverpool in Madrid in the Champions League final, and if they manage to do just that, Pochettino’s stock within the game will rise even further still.
