The Magpies won 3-1 against Brentford at St. James’ Park to enhance their chances of winning the Championship title this season. Dwight Gayle scored twice for Newcastle, while Ciaran Clark also found the net.

As announced on Newcastle’s official Twitter page during the game, there were almost 52,000 fans at St. James’ Park.
Newcastle legend Alan Shearer was following the match, and he was impressed with the size of the crowd at St. James’ Park.

Newcastle are second in the Championship table at the moment with 25 points from 12 matches, just a point behind leaders Norwich City.
