What an addition James Maddison would be to this Newcastle United outfit.
The Magpies are now third in the Premier League standings following a stunning 4-1 victory away to Southampton this afternoon.
Newcastle wanted Maddison during the summer transfer window but Leicester City’s £60 million valuation was never reached [90 min].
However, a journalist told Give Me Sport this week – as covered by HITC Sport – that the St James’s Park outfit are ready to pay what’s needed to bring him to Tyneside in January.

Maddison is on fire at Leicester this season, scoring six goals and setting up four in 12 Premier League outings under Brendan Rodgers.
The 25-year-old is doing everything he can to make the England squad for the World Cup.
And Alan Shearer, the Newcastle icon, believes he should get the call by writing on Twitter:
Quesion is, would he even get a game under Eddie Howe right now?
As mentioned, Newcastle, who have lost one Premier League game from 13 this season, are absolutely flying and they’ve had to do without Allan Saint-Maximin and Alexander Isak, making this form even more impressive.
As a squad, the Magpies are looking serious, but of course Howe would find room for someone like Maddison.
