Everton midfielder Ross Barkley did not play well in the Merseyside derby last weekend.

Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer has explained in The Sun why he feels sorry for Everton attacking midfielder Ross Barkley.
Barkley is one of the better midfielders in the Premier League and has been playing well for Everton in recent weeks.
The 23-year-old has scored four goals and created 67 chances in 28 Premier League appearances for the Toffees so far this season.
The England international, though, failed to perform well against Liverpool last weekend, as the Toffees suffered a 3-1 defeat to the Reds at Anfield in the Merseyside derby.
Former Newcastle striker Shearer, who now works as a pundit for BBC Sport, has stated that he feels sorry for Barkley, but he has also mentioned two England players who are better than him in his position.
“I have to admit, I feel a bit sorry for Ross Barkley,” Shearer wrote in The Sun. “He wasn’t the one saying he’s the next big English hope. I don’t see him building himself up or posing on the front pages of magazines.
“No, that is down to other people and it’s what we constantly do with young talent in this country.
“People also keep asking about why he is not playing for England. But in his position there are two guys better than him at the moment — Dele Alli and Adam Lallana.”
Everton are seventh in the Premier League table at the moment with 50 points from 30 matches.
The Toffees will return to action on Tuesday evening when they take on Manchester United away from home at Old Trafford in the league.
