The Newcastle legend is over the moon to see Eddie Howe’s side get the better of Chelsea 1-0 at home this evening.
Former Arsenal midfielder Joe Willock scored the only goal of the match midway through the second half.

Top-four challenge
Newcastle United are very much in the running for the Premier League top four this season.
And the win against Chelsea will only enhance the Newcastle players’ confidence.
Eddie Howe’s side are now third in the league table with 30 points from 15 matches.
Newcastle are only two points behind second-placed and defending champions Manchester City, who have played 15 games.
Maybe, just maybe, the Magpies could even challenge for the Premier League title this season.
It will be interesting to see if Newcastle’s owners, Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), decide to go big in the January transfer window.
It would make sense to give Howe more support to get the team over the line in terms of a top-four finish.
