Alan Shearer reacts to Newcastle United’s result at Bournemouth.

Alan Shearer has expressed his disappointment to Newcastle United’s draw at Bournemouth today.
Rafael Benitez’s side looked set to win all three points when a double from Dwight Gayle helped them into a 2-0 half-time lead.

Adam Smith pulled one back for the Cherries with 10 minutes to go, before Dan Gosling, a former Newcastle player, equalised in the closing stages of normal time to devastate his old side.
The Magpies remain only two points above the relegation zone, and club legend Shearer admits that he is disappointed over the result.
The morale won from Newcastle’s last game – a 1-0 victory over Manchester United – has been wiped away somewhat and you wonder if this latest setback will have an adverse affect on the rest of their season.
Worryingly, Benitez’s side face Liverpool and Spurs away in two of their next three Premier League games, either side of a home visit of Southampton, so things could get a lot worse for the Tyneside club in the coming weeks.
