Alan Shearer has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley’s latest comments about selling the club.

Newcastle owner Ashley has told Sky Sports this evening that he wants to sell the Premier League club before the January transfer window.

The English businessman has also claimed that talks are underway to get the sale sorted soon.

Positive update

Many Newcastle fans are not happy with how Ashley runs the club, and one suspects that they will be pleased with the owner’s latest comments.

Perhaps a new owner will invest in the squad and help manager Rafael Benitez sign some decent players in the January transfer window.

The Magpies are in real danger of getting relegated from the Premier League to the Championship at the end of the season.
