Alan Shearer isn’t buying into claims about Newcastle United spending.

Newcastle United are closing in on the sale of Ayoze Perez to Leicester City, BBC Sport report.
The Spaniard is keen to move on and Newcastle are keen to take the money, with the fee said to be £30 million.
Former Newcastle striker Alan Shearer is feeling doubtful about whether the money will be reinvested into the team.
Following claims the full £30 million will be added to Newcastle’s transfer funds, Shearer had a short response.
Newcastle are yet to make any signings this transfer window, and their squad has been depleted.
Top scorer Salomon Rondon has returned to West Brom, while Perez’s departure will mean the current top scorer from last season on their books will be defender Fabian Schar.
Newcastle are currently without a manager after Rafa Benitez’s departure, and so it is understandable Shearer feels sceptical about the club’s intentions heading into the remainder of the transfer window.
