Alan Shearer backs Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal to get a top-four spot, with Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United missing out.
Speaking to Match of the Day’s Facebook page, Alan Shearer has predicted how the Premier League’s top four will look come the end of the season.
It is ever so competitive at the top end of the table at the moment, with five points separating leaders Liverpool from Tottenham Hotspur in fifth place.
Chelsea sit one point off the pace in second, while Manchester City and Arsenal – level on 24 points, one behind the Blues – occupy third and fourth place at the moment.

Tottenham and Manchester United – who sit six points adrift of the top four – will be desperate for a Champions League spot come May, but Shearer believes that the teams in those coveted spots at the moment will stay there for the rest of the season.
“If you look at the league now then it is starting to take shape, and I don’t see that top five changing much,” he told Match of the Day’s Facebook page.

“In fact, I think the four that are there at the minute – Liverpool, Chelsea, City and Arsenal – I don’t think they’ll move too much at all.”
As expected, it is shaping up to a fine Premier League campaign and any one of the top six – including United – could potentially end up winning the title, so it is far too early in the day to rule any team in or out of the top-four race.
The Lilywhites, in particular, face a season-defining few weeks. After the international break, Mauricio Pochettino’s side face West Ham United, Chelsea and United in a run of games which could simply make or break their hopes of reaching the Champions League for a second straight season.
