BBC pundit Alan Shearer predicts Manchester United to win the 2017/18 Premier League title.
Former Newcastle striker and club legend, Alan Shearer says that the 2017/18 Premier League title will be between the two Manchester clubs.
The BBC pundit predicts that Manchester United will win the Premier League title this season, while City will be thereabouts in the race.

The football pundit says that Jose Mourinho has always found a way to win titles, but the main reason why he picks them as favourites is that they have been able to bring quality players this summer.
“Whatever you think of United manager Jose Mourinho, he won two trophies last season and got them back into the Champions League, and he has strengthened them again significantly this summer,” said Shearer to BBC Sport.
Shearer says that Chelsea “are still as good as anyone else” but they need more players because the Blues will have to deal with Champions League football as well.
“Chelsea are the defending champions and when you go through their strongest XI, they are still as good as anyone else. But their issue is they need more players because they have Champions League football to deal with this season too,” he added.
Tottenham have fallen just short in the league in the last two seasons, and Shearer believes that not signing anyone could be a huge error on their part.

“Spurs have just fallen short in the league in the past couple of seasons and not signing anyone to try to push on now would be a huge error on their part,” Shearer continued.
Spurs are at the stage where they will need to start winning things soon if they want to keep hold of their best players. It really needs to happen for them this season.”
