Christian Eriksen scored twice in Tottenham Hotspur’s 5-0 win over Swansea City yesterday.
Alan Shearer has told Match of the Day, which was broadcast on BBC One on December 3rd, that he felt Tottenham Hotspur’s Christian Eriksen was back to his best against Swansea City yesterday.
Tottenham ran out 5-0 winners over the Swans at White Hart Lane yesterday, and their performance was excellent.
Eriksen, who has come under criticism recently, was at the heart of everything good Spurs did.
And the Danish international crowned his performance by scoring twice during the comprehensive win.
Eriksen first netted a header from close range, before scoring with a fine left-footed finish.

And Shearer said: “For most part of the season he hasn’t been at it, but he looked more confident today. He moved the ball quicker. He hasn’t been getting in those [scoring] positions, but he did and that made a big difference. He was a lot, lot better today.”
Tottenham’s resounding victory over Swansea has increased optimism at White Hart Lane, after a poor run of form.

Spurs have struggled in recent weeks, but they were a class above Bob Bradley’s side yesterday.
Tottenham remain in fifth after their victory – three points behind Manchester City, who occupy the last Champions League qualification spot.
