The Newcastle United striker has been in fine form since moving to Tyneside last summer.

Newcastle hitman Salomon Rondon was named as the club’s Player of the Year last night, and Alan Shearer took to Twitter to congratulate the Venezuelan.
The 29-year-old joined the Magpies on a season-long loan from West Brom las summer, and he has been a real hit at St James’ Park, racking up 11 goals and seven assists in 32 appearances thus far.
Rondon has proven to be vitally important to the way in which Newcastle play, and Rafa Benitez will surely be keen to make his move a permanent one in the summer.
The Venezuela international’s rugged, no-nonsense playing style is similar to that of one of Newcastle’s favourite sons – Alan Shearer.
And the Toon legend took to Twitter last night, congratulating Rondon on winning the club’s Player of the Year award:
West Brom will demand £16 million for Rondon this summer, according to the Northern Echo, and Newcastle surely cannot miss out on the opportunity to sign a player of the 29-year-old’s quality for such a reasonable fee.
