Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur lost in the Premier League at the weekend.

The former Newcastle United striker, though, believes that Kane could have been sent off during the Premier League game between Manchester City and Spurs at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening.
Shearer wrote in The Sun: “Kane, for me, is the only player at Spurs maintaining the very high standards he set himself last season. Yet he, too, could have got his marching orders on Saturday.”

Tottenham’s overall performances and results in the Premier League so far this season have not been as good as they were last season.
True, winning against City at the Etihad Stadium at the weekend was not going to be easy, but not many would have expected Spurs to conceded as many as four goals.

Kane did not have a good match against City, but the England international striker has played well well overall so far this season.
The 24-year-old striker has scored 12 goals and provided one assist in 17 Premier League appearances for Spurs so far this season.
Spurs are out of the running for the Premier League title this season, but the North London outfit can certainly end up in the top four.
