Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur will face each other in the Premier League on Sunday.
Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer has written on Coral.co.uk that Arsenal are favourites to win the North London derby against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.
Arsenal will take on Tottenham at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Former Newcastle striker Shearer believes that the Gunners will have the advantage in the match.
“Yes, it’s advantage Arsenal,” Shearer wrote on Coral.co.uk. “Particularly with the form they are in and Tottenham didn’t play well last weekend and didn’t play well on Wednesday evening. They have to get more from their midfield players [to have a chance].”
Arsenal are in better form than Tottenham are at the moment, and playing at home is also going to be an advantage for Arsene Wenger’s side.
The Gunners have a good squad, and some of their best players are doing quite well at the moment.
Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil are in excellent form at the moment, and the duo will be key for Arsenal.
Tottenham also have some brilliant footballers, and one suspects that they will be up for the North London derby.
It is hard to see Arsenal drop all three points at the Emirates on Sunday, but Tottenham can certainly earn a draw.
Both the Gunners and Spurs are aiming to win the Premier League title this season.
