The Leicester City man has impressed at the King Power Stadium under Brendan Rodgers this term.

Premier League legend and BBC Sport pundit Alan Shearer has raved about Leicester City defender Caglar Soyuncu following his latest impressive display for the Foxes (official Premier League website).
The Turkey international has gone from strength to strength under Brendan Rodgers this term and claimed his first goal for the club at the weekend, opening the scoring against Crystal Palace just before the hour.
Soyuncu was left unmarked six yards out and duly headed home James Maddison’s corner, and Leicester made sure of victory two minutes from time as Jamie Vardy finished off following a one-two with substitute Demarai Gray.
Both Soyuncu and Vardy made Alan Shearer’s Premier League Team of the Week, the England icon saying of the former: “The impressive central defender made the breakthrough with the all-important opener and helped keep a clean sheet. Solid and reliable.”

Of Vardy, Shearer said: “The Premier League’s top scorer showed his quality with another lethal finish.”
Soyuncu joined Leicester in the summer of 2018 from German club Freiburg under Claude Puel’s watch for a reported £19million fee (BBC Sport) but had a difficult maiden season at the King Power Stadium, making just six Premier League appearances in 2018-19 (Transfermarkt).
Following Harry Maguire’s exit, the 23-year-old has stepped in superbly and has been a key component of the Foxes’ superb start to the campaign and rise to third in the table.
