Rhian Brewster is heading for a breakthrough season with Liverpool.

Alan Shearer has admitted to The Sun that he’s excited by Rhian Brewster’s potential at Liverpool.
The 19-year-old will be part of Jurgen Klopp’s senior squad this season after the Reds elected to promote him rather than sign an out-and-out replacement for released striker Daniel Sturridge.
Brewster, yet to make his competitive debut for Liverpool, has looked in fine form throughout the club’s pre-season campaign and could figure as Norwich City visit Anfield on Friday in the Premier League curtain-raiser.
He is undeniably one of the most exciting attacking prospects to come out of Melwood for quite some time, and Shearer, a man who knows a thing or two about goalscorers, claims that he’s a ‘special talent’.
He wrote in The Sun: “They haven’t made any major signings this summer, yet they believe in what is coming through the system. By all accounts Rhian Brewster is a special talent who will have a bigger role.”
Brewster will be relishing the chance to play senior football at Liverpool.
In January of 2018, he suffered a long-term injury which kept him out of action for the Under-23s for well over a year.
He’ll have spent that entire period wondering and questioning if he was ever going to be a big deal in Klopp’s senior side, and now he’s so close that he can taste it.
He might not play against Norwich, but he’ll be in the squad and that, in itself, is major progress given his age.
