The former Newcastle United man has not set the world alight at Tottenham Hotspur just yet.

Kevin Kampl’s second-half goal was enough for the Bundesliga outfit on a night where a number of Tottenham’s heavy hitters did not show up.
The most expensive player on the pitch was Moussa Sissoko, making his fifth start for Spurs following a £30 million summer switch from Newcastle United.
But the French winger posted a largely underwhelming performance – one that will have had many Newcastle affiliates laughing, given what their club recouped for his sale.
One such affiliate who certainly saw the funny side was Magpies legend Alan Shearer, who posted a number of laughing emojis when it was put to him that Tottenham signed the version of Sissoko which often frustrated fans of the North-East club.
The 26-year-old secured his big-money move to Spurs on the back of a very decent Euro 2016 with France, which came after he was relegated to the Championship with Newcastle.
As a result, United fans can justifiably harbour some resentment toward him, on the theory that he only started to show what he can do when he wanted to leave Rafael Benitez’s side.
