Alan Shearer has labelled Manchester City ‘relentless’ on Twitter after their victory over Chelsea this afternoon.

Manchester City moved 13 points clear at the summit of the Premier League table with a narrow 1-0 win over the Blues at Eastlands.

This was the Citizens’ 12th successive league victory and on this form, well the Premier League title certainly looks bound for the Etihad yet again.

Here’s how Shearer reacted to the performance on social media:

Accurate

Well, that’s as good a word as any to describe the Sky Blues.

Last season, Guardiola’s outfit produced a 15-match winning streak en route to winning the Premier League.

The Spaniard instills such an unbreakable mentality within his squad and money or not, putting together these sort of purple patches is truly extraordinary.

Chelsea had to win this afternoon to keep alive their hopes but Kevin De Bruyne’s goal was enough to give the hosts all three points.

Liverpool are also capable of producing winning streaks, but Manchester City are even 14 points ahead of them, too.

The Reds might have two games in hand but, even if they win both, an eight-point deficit is surely too much for Liverpool to recover from.
