Peter Crouch told Amazon Prime that the ‘world-class’ Tottenham forward Heung-Min Son is in his Team of the Year, whilst Alan Shearer disagreed and opted to put Jamie Vardy out on the left instead.
The duo were picking their team of 2020, with Crouch claiming that Tottenham’s electric attacker would get into ‘any team’.
Both Son and Vardy have been in the goals again this season, with the latter walking away with the Premier League’s Golden Boot award last term.
Whilst Crouch didn’t opt for Vardy up top, he went with Son on the left and, just like Shearer, he put the England captain down the middle.
“Son, for me, honestly, he has been world-class,” said Crouch. “This season, his and Kane’s partnership has been phenomenal.
“If you look at this season, he would get into any team and over the course of the year. Vardy, I think is incredible as well.
“But, for me, Son has been fantastic.”
Shearer added: “I went for Jamie Vardy in there. Golden Boot winner. Still scoring goals. Still pivotal everything that Leicester do and do well. There is no evidence of him slowing down. He seems to be getting better.”

Even at the ripe old age of 33, Vardy is doing bits in England’s top-flight and is on course once again to be the top marksman in the league.
Whilst Son is also up there, Kane will want to get amongst the best once again because injuries have prevented him from being top of the tree in recent seasons.
If Kane can stay out of the treatment room, not only will he be pushing for the Golden Boot, but he also might find that a winners’ medal of some kind can go next to it.
