Alan Shearer believes Tottenham’s England stars should be dominating Gareth Southgate’s starting line-up.

Gareth Southgate’s side are preparing to face some of the world’s best in Brazil at Wembley Stadium on Monday night, with the likes of Neymar, Gabriel Jesus and Philippe Coutinho all looking to break the England bubble.
Since Mauricio Pochettino’s arrival in north London as Spurs manager, multiple Spurs stars have become England regulars and it is those players that Shearer believes must start in Russia next summer.

The former Newcastle United and England captain has considered five Tottenham stars for a place in the starting eleven, stating that he expects four of those to start, before stating that Kieran Trippier can push Kyle Walker for a start.
“My choice of Harry Kane and Dele Alli up front is one that will test any defence — if Kane is not taking corners! Harry Winks in midfield has come to the fore in recent months and deserves his chance,” Shearer said.
“I also like the three at the back and the way wing-backs Danny Rose and Kyle Walker seem very comfortable in switching from defence to attack.
“Kieran Trippier also showed there is competition for a place on the right as well. So gradually under Gareth Southgate I can see progression. Are we going to win the World Cup this summer? No.
“But a team that aims to, gives it a go and makes the country proud will certainly be a step in the right direction.”

Kane, Alli and Winks will not be involved in Monday night’s clash against Brazil, after pulling out of the England squad prior to the 0-0 draw against Germany due to injury. All three, though, are expected to be fit for November 18’s north London derby.
Southgate has also seen Fabian Delph, Jordan Henderson, Jack Butland and Raheem Sterling drop out of the side, and has called-up inexperienced stars Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Jack Cork, Jake Livermore as well as young guns Lewis Cook, Angus Gunn and Dom Solanke.
It remains to be seen if England’s three remaining Spurs stars will start against Brazil, in Eric Dier, Rose and Trippier.
