Even though Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool were without many star players, they still managed to progress in the FA Cup at the expense of Arsenal on Sunday.

The Reds might have rode their luck in the first half and Arsenal’s finishing proved to be a disaster, but they were punished for it in the second half.

With 15 minutes left on the clock, Jurgen Klopp introduced Conor Bradley into the action.

At this time, the scores were still 0-0, before a Jakub Kiwior own goal and Luis Diaz strike sealed the win, with Alan Shearer saying the cameo from the Liverpool young gun was ‘impressive’, as he told BBC One

It wasn’t just the attacking play that left Alan Shearer applauding, but how he was also doing the defensive side of the game and defusing some very threatening situations during the dying minutes of the match.

The Liverpool right-back enjoyed a recent fruitful loan spell at Bolton and now he is earning some much-deserved minutes for the senior Liverpool side.

On commentary during Liverpool’s win at the Emirates, Alan Shearer liked what he saw from Conor Bradley.

Conor Bradley’s cameo against Arsenal

“Well done Conor Bradley,” said Shearer about his defending. “Staying alive and alert. I know they conceded a corner, but he had to do that.

“Doing well, isn’t he?! He has looked impressive when he has come on.”

Statement from Liverpool

This was a massive win, more so mentally for Liverpool because they are without such key players.

From Mohamed Salah to Virgil van Dijk, who reacted to yesterday’s win, they proved that they can secure a win even with a weakened side.

In the Premier League title race, this will prove to be huge in the coming months because it will show Klopp that his players can do it even if key players are missing.
