Tottenham Hotspur continue to chase down Chelsea in the Premier League title race.

Alan Shearer shared his belief that Spurs need to win their remaining six games if they are to have any chance whatsoever of winning the Premier League title, when writing his regular column for the Sun, on page 55 of their print edition on Monday April 17th.
Tottenham now sit just four points adrift of league leaders Chelsea, after the Blues left Old Trafford empty handed yesterday, and the momentum is now firmly in favour of Mauricio Pochettino’s side as they head into the final straight.
Both sides still have tricky games remaining, although Spurs’ tough games on paper come at White Hart Lane against Arsenal and Manchester United. Chelsea, on the other hand, face a couple of of challenging away games at Everton and West Bromwich Albion respectively.
Shearer, though, insisted that the Lilywhites will have to take 18 points from their remaining half dozen games, if they are to win their first league title since 1961, when writing his regular column for the Sun:

“Yes, the gap on Chelsea is now back to four points, but look at the two clubs’ run-ins, Spurs are still going to need to win every league game from now until the end of the season. Even that may not be enough. Nobody really expects Chelsea to falter. But nobody expected Manchester United to do so at the end of the 2011/12 season.”
Before Premier League duties resume for both sides, they meet at Wembley on Saturday in the FA Cup semi final, and the winners of that clash might very well gain the impetus as they head into the final month of the season.
